MLC - Karnataka Legislative Council Elections

Attention Graduate and Teacher Voters:-

Karnataka MLC-Vidhana Parishad Election is going to be held in upcoming June 2024... Registration is mandatory for all graduates and teachers to become eligible to vote in this election. Last date for voter registration process is November 6, 2023. For registration as voter, interested Graduates need to submit the duly filled in Form 18 and interested Teachers need to submit duly filled in Form 19 to the Local Electoral Officers and get themselves registered.

Constituencies of Graduates where Karnataka Legislative Council Elections will be held:-

  1. Karnataka North East Graduates
  2. Karnataka South West Graduates
  3. Bangalore Graduates

To register for graduate election:-

Graduates must download form 18 given below by 6th November 2023 and fill it with correct information and submit the application along with correct documents to the local election authorities and get registered.

Instructions :-

  1. If applications are sent by post to the Designated Officer, the applicant should attach a copy of her/his degree along with her/his application. The certificate/mark sheet should be duly self-attested.
  2. If the applicant submits his/her application directly in person before the Designated Officer, the original copy of Degree/Certificate/Mark Sheets should be shown.
  3. Any false statement or declaration in the application submitted by the graduate shall be punishable under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

Teachers' Constituencies where Karnataka Legislative Council elections will be held:-

  1. Karnataka South East Teachers'
  2. Karnataka South West Teachers'
  3. Karnataka South Teachers
  4. Bangalore Teachers' Constituency

To register for teachers' Constituency Election:-

Teachers must download form 19 given below by 6th November 2023 and fill it with correct information and submit the application along with correct documents to the local election authorities and get registered.

Instructions :-

  1. Teachers should have at least three years of secondary school or above experience in an educational institution during the previous six years.
  2. A certificate from the Head of Education should be attached with every application Form 19 for registration as a voter for the teachers constituency.
  3. The following is the format of certificate certifying by the institution that she/he has worked as a teacher for a total period of three years in the last six previous years:-

  4. In case of a person not engaged in teaching on the date of application, the certificate should be signed by the Head of the Institution.
  5. Bulk applications submitted in person or by post will not be considered for inclusion. However, Heads of Institutions may pass
  6. In case the applicant submits his/her application directly in person before the Designated Officer, the original copy of Degree/Certificate/Mark Sheets should be produced before the Officer.
  7. Any false statement or declaration in the application submitted by the teacher is punishable under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

Observe the following instructions carefully:-

  1. Aspirants who want to become a Uttama Prajaakeeya Party candidate in the Vidhana Parishad elections must know the complete information about the Vidhana Parishad elections
  2. Must be fully aware of and adhere to the principles of Prajaakeeya
  3. Adhere to all rules and norms of Uttama Prajaakeeya party
  4. One person is allowed to submit one election application and if more than one application is submitted, such applications will not be considered.
  5. All the information given in the election application should be adequate and all the documents should be correct & clear
  6. Any necessary election related expenses incurred in connection with the election shall be borne by himself/herself.
  7. Voter's signature, phone number and copy of graduation certificate or teacher's ID must be compulsorily collected along with voter's recommendation letter (photo of signature collection also to be uploaded while applying.)
  8. Applications of such aspirants who, if found to be involved in any activities contrary to the Principles and ideologies of Prajaakeeya, will not be accepted or will be rejected.

In the upcoming June 2024 Karnataka MLC (Vidhan Parishad) Election, individuals aspiring to contest in the Graduates' and Teachers' Constituencies are required to follow a specific procedure. They should download a Voter Recommendation Letter from the official website or mobile applications of the Uttama Prajaakeeya Party. As part of this process, they must adhere to the points mentioned in the Voter Recommendation Letter and obtain recommendation signatures from eligible graduate and teacher voters who are registered for the Graduates and Teachers Elections. Subsequently, candidates should submit the Vidhana Parishad Election Application form along with the necessary information and documents through the official website or mobile applications of the Uttama Prajaakeeya Party.

Note: A person is allowed to submit one election petition. If more than one application is submitted then such applications will not be considered.. So read all the details properly and keep proper and clear information while filling the Election application
